This is a slightly reimagined image from one of my favorite scenes in the Sound of Music where Maria and the children are caught in a rowboat by the Captain. I love the way she speaks to him in this scene, she’s so sharp and candid in the face of his authoritarian disciplining of her & the children.
I’m sure this won’t be the last painting I do from this movie, it’s so visually stunning.
